Teach me father

Teach me father to keep quiet if i have nothing good to say

Teach me not to have expectations for then i wont get disappointed

Teach me father that once bitten twice shy

Teach me Lord that you are enough

Teach me to smile wen expected to anger, to laugh wen expected to cry, to arm wen expected to back down, and to love because you have loved me

Diamond in the rough

Tribute to another angel gone too soon

PHILIP MAGEZI 30/05/1983-26/06/2011

Truly set apart to touch the lives of every single individual that was honoured to have known u as a friend, brother, son , confidant......

You were a gift without a doubt and will be remembered for your laughter, your smile, your courage , your strength. We laughed, we partied hard, you had our backs...you were my friend and a brother...you were my Boy!

The story was told that your father passed at 32 after being shot dead by thugs in a robbery, sad to say at 28 you faced a similar wrath that within days claimed a life so precious. I promised myself that i will never, irrespective of the circumstances call God unfair but this here left me with so many unanswered questions.

You looked out for me more than my blood brothers n not only were you the life of the party you lived every day like it was a celebration. A life of physical pain that saw you undergo 4 plastic surgeries, permanent disfiguring but in all this you picked out blessings and not once did you have self pity. Admirable strength and esteem that made life floral, we hae lost a gem, a true diamond in the rough

REST IN PEACE BRO

CURIOUS CASE OF THE "GREAT"

Jus playing devil's advocate and wondering to myself whether the U.S involvement in Libya's uprising is purely outta concern or kicking a man when he's down? The irony of this qtn jus made me laugh at myself a little because the world knows that that super power always has an ulterior motive for every action. To me its like a troubled relationship that can only and only be salvaged by the parties concerned and not every other opinionated by stander. This to me should still apply to Libya. Why after 42 years do all these nations wait to show concern over Libya's "failing economy and inefficienct gov't. "

The U.S has for long wanted to pin Gadaffi for the la belle night club bombing and lockerbie and much as both suspects were Libyan , the man himself could not be held accountable. This even sparked off the bombing of his tripoli residence all based on suspicion of him having masterminded these attacks. In this erratic attack, Gadaffi's adopted daughter Hanna was killed...she was abt 9 years old. Everything that this self proclaimed 'king' stands for arks the U.S need i mention his tent pitching fascination? So, is this a question of making the best use of timing, has this uprising presented the opportunity to bring down the man that has for so long eluded them. Mubarak succumbed to the pressure of the masses which to the U.S was a victory because Egypt was down, Libya to go and this would be the final blow to Gadaffi's dream of having a pan arab alliance that started with Libya, syria and egypt. I guess we shall just have to wait and see how this plays out. I am so not an advocate for indefinate rule but the persistent involvement of the U.S.A in every other country's business evokes so much anger in me. Cant they foccus on their economy or sth, their plate's full as it is

Bible Chapter Detail
Isaiah 12 NIVIsaiahAudio (Flash Player)
Songs of Praise
1 In that day you will say:
“I will praise you, LORD. Although you were angry with me, your anger has turned away and you have comforted me. 2 Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD himself, is my strength and my defense[a]; he has become my salvation.” 3 With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.
4 In that day you will say:
“Give praise to the LORD, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted. 5 Sing to the LORD, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world. 6 Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel among you.”

Captive.

by Nagasha Lefty on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 8:53pm
You found your way into my dreams...again.
You always knew just how to get in:find your way into those parts of me that I held sacred.
You fought your way into my heart...You embedded your face on my mind...
And now you haunt my dreams.

I fight you more each day, fight to forget you, to rub away your mark..
But I fight a victor..You branded me...Made sure the print was permanent... the grip on me, firm.
You accused me of weakness,of running...of giving up.
You saw from the start, how easily I could take flight.I bruised you when I gave up on us.
You saw the weakness that made me put up walls..But held so tight those who got in.

You turned and used my weaknesses against me.
You knew that time was all you had before the demons took over.
So all my time you consumed. You became my waking song..the shadow that followed me all day..
And when night came, the warmth that took away the harshness of the day.
Even as I ran...and put all those questions in your eyes,
Causing pain only I could see.You fought on.

I ran to find freedom, and ease..I ran from you that held me so captive.
Only I ran back to you, with pain in your eyes. And victory in your look.
You that knew me best. And sees the defeat on my face.Defeat you put there.
I ran from you...back to you.You made your way in,swore never to leave.
To torture me back. Now my own dreams master me.
Once a willing captive...now am a haunted prisoner.

Let me go.Please.

I am the art.....not the artist

I have been told in the past that i have an inflated sense of self worth ( i still don't see how that is a bad thing) but little do the...
